Claire Marie Healy’s writing and curated projects explore film, art, fashion, and the internet. Specialising in print publishing, she is the editor of books including Flipper’s Roller Boogie Palace (IDEA, 2021), On the Dance Floor: Spinning Out on Screen (A24, 2022) and Beauty of the Beast: A Makeup Manual (A24, 2024).
Her first authored book, GIRLHOOD, was published by the Tate in July 2023 as part of the gallery’s Look Again series.
Currently a Contributing Editor at AnOther, you may previously know Claire from her tenure as Editor of youth cultural style title Dazed & Confused, where she edited in-house from 2015-2021 and worked with a wide network of writers and imagemakers.
Her ongoing multimedia project, Girlhood Studies, explores how visual culture shapes the experiences of young women, and has encompassed a monthly column, Instagram account and film screenings.
